ABOUT US

With over 30 years of marriage under their belt, Dave and Terri Jones know something about commitment.  And Terri brings that dedication and the same level of commitment to the birds at the Arcadia Bird Sanctuary and Educational Center.

Terri has been involved with birds for most of her life - her dad raised parakeets and she had her first bird at the age of 8.  Her love of all animals has earned her a middle name of 'Noah'.  But birds live a long time, so it is important this love of aviculture gets passed on to the next generations.  Caitlyn Jones, Dave and Terri's granddaughter, also has a great passion for animals.

Caitlyn has been making presentations to Bird Clubs and youth groups since the age of 3.  Her involvement in aviculture earned her the Young Aviculturalist Award from the National Breeders and Exhibitors Association.  Caitlyn works very hard with the birds at Arcadia and shares her knowledge and love of the birds with anyone who will listen.
